Koa over Ebony
People have complained for years that the prettiest wood is on the back of the instrument! I thought I would remedy that even with the difficulties that might produce. One doesn’t think of a hardwood as a good sound board, but with careful top graduation, one can make a Koa sound board sound fantastic. Then to drive that top further we used an ebony back. The results are fantastic.
